Expansion of Cabueñes Hospital: A new healthcare reference for Asturias. The expansion of the Cabueñes University Hospital in Gijón represents a qualitative leap in healthcare in the region, responding to the growing demand for care with more modern, efficient and sustainable infrastructures.
This ambitious project has provided the hospital complex with new spaces that improve the capacity and quality of service, benefiting both patients and professionals.
The project, executed by FCC, has included the construction of a new building that significantly enlarges the hospital's surface area, incorporating new hospitalization areas, intensive care units, state-of-the-art operating rooms and a renovated emergency area. In addition, the project is committed to energy efficiency, implementing advanced solutions to optimize the consumption of resources and guarantee thermal comfort.
This expansion is part of the strategic plan of the Health Service of the Principality of Asturias (SESPA) to modernize and strengthen the public hospital network. The intervention not only improves the hospital's accessibility and healthcare capacity, but also positions it as a benchmark in innovation and sustainability within the Asturian healthcare sector.
This project represents a before and after in hospital care in Gijón and its area of influence, guaranteeing more advanced facilities adapted to the needs of a society in constant evolution.
