The prestigious Clínica Universidad de Navarra expands its presence in Spain with the opening of a new headquarters in Madrid. Designed by the renowned OTXOTORENA ARQUITECTOS studio, the complex will consist of a hospital and a postgraduate and masters building, forming a comb of volumes built on a 6.60 m. x 6.60 m. grid that allows for a wide variety of room sizes. With more than 46,000 square meters of extension, this non-profit and university center will have modern facilities and medical equipment, seven operating rooms and a wide variety of medical areas, as well as a commitment to reinvest its profits in its own medical research.

The Clínica Universidad de Navarra will open a new headquarters in Madrid, in the eastern part of the capital, with two buildings: a hospital and, opposite it, a postgraduate and masters building.
Designed by OTXOTORENA ARQUITECTOS. The layout of the building is that of a comb of built volumes limited at the north and south ends by the communication galleries, one for the public and the other for doctors and staff. The building as a whole is inscribed in a 6.60 m. x 6.60 m. grid that allows for a wide variety of room sizes (2.20 m., 3.30 m., 4.40 m., 6.60 m.) while being economical from the structural point of view.

The building will cover an area of 46,000 square meters, of which 35,000 will be for hospital use. It will also house seven operating rooms for major surgery, up to 60 beds for hospital admissions, seven ICU beds and seven beds for neonates.

The new center will house four major medical areas: Women's area, Cardiovascular area, Oncology area and High Resolution Diagnostic area (check-ups, high resolution consultations and preventive procedures).

It will be conceived as a not-for-profit university hospital, whose profits will be used for its own medical research.
