Imagine a space that combines history and modernity in an impressive reinforced concrete structure. This is the remodeling of the former Boetticher elevator factory in Villaverde, designed in 1934 by engineer Eduardo Torroja. In this project, the team of architects led by José María Churtichaga has respected the colossal original structure, including its emblematic concrete vault roof. Known as "Banda Ancha", this 10,000-square-meter center for permanent and temporary exhibitions, together with another 5,000 square meters of annex buildings, will become a pioneering center for new technologies and a focus for the rebalancing and recovery of the area. Discover how history and modernity combine in one place.
