"Casa Avintia" is one of the projects of which we cannot be more proud, that brings people together, and connects with the heart, as it is a pioneering and unique project in Spain whose purpose is to provide a temporary and free home to more than 500 families of patients admitted to ICU, neonatal or pediatric hospitals of the Madrid Health Service. A project that is being made possible thanks to the ILLUSION of people.

This initiative, promoted by Ms. Carmen Valera, founding trustee and director of the Avintia FoundationThe aim of this initiative is to make ''Casa Avintia'' a space that provides some emotional and economic relief that also has a positive impact on the patient.

This significant project is located in "Ciudad Aeroportuaria-Parque Valdebebas'' in a plot of more than 16,000 square meters, and will serve all the hospitals of the Autonomous Community of Madrid being very close to support two health centers: Hospital Universitario La Paz and Hospital Universitario Ramón y Cajal.

The TOUZA ARQUITECTOS studio has been in charge of designing it, and it should be noted that its priority has been to accommodate a large number of people, since it will consist of 30 rooms, each with a capacity for 4 people, distributed in three modules. In addition, it will be equipped with common areas and the necessary services: living room, dining room, games room, gymnasium, 25 parking spaces, laundry, 9,000 meters of landscaped areas, lobby and toilets adapted for disabled people.

"Casa Avintia", a project whose priority is the humanization of health care

As the Avintia Foundation has indicated, this project is based on a humanization plan, which seeks to promote and enhance the human dimension of healthcare services, making them more accessible without diminishing their professionalism and scientific-technical quality, and they do so by promoting their hashtag #HumanizaciónDeLaSanidad (HumanizationOfHealth).

"Casa Avintia", a project full of illusion.

Pride and satisfaction are the words that undoubtedly define this project built thanks to the illusion. There are several donations that the whole Impernor Asbitra team wanted to make to our client Grupo Avintia and to this special project.

From Impernor Asbitra we wanted the ''Casa Avintia'' to have better finishes and qualities to ensure greater safety and comfort of the people staying in it, and although our contribution to this special project has been material, for each person of the little big family of Impernor Asbitra has meant much more than that; empathy and desire to help, because we can say loudly that collaborating in this project has filled us more as people and has charged us with energy and enthusiasm.

It is a part of each one of us, of our passion, of our dedication, of our strength and, of course, of our excellence. The collaboration on our part has consisted of all the waterproofing materials, specifically the materials that make up the walkable and non-walkable roof (with artificial turf), single-layer waterproofing and walls, as well as auxiliary materials. All this has been possible thanks to the support and collaboration of our supplier DANOSA.

We collaborate to improve people's quality of life

One of our mantras as a company is to offer added value to society in all areas, not only through construction or sustainability, but also in the social sphere.

Thanks to our participation in "Casa Avintia" we have managed to materialize the help that we always like to offer. Together we have managed to put an end to a major current problem and thanks to this house, relatives will be able to accompany patients in the way they deserve.

We can only say thank you to our client Grupo Avintia. Thank you for inviting us to participate in this project that has given us so much not as workers but as people, a project that brings us closer to a hard but real problem. Undoubtedly for the whole team of Impernor Asbitra has been a real honor to help each and every one of the families with a lot of soul and always from the heart.

The oldest operating factories

What does a factory's ability to stay in production depend on today? Design and construction, preventive maintenance, up-to-date technology, adaptation to market demands, efficient management? Aspects that, for the most part and within their historical context, were surely also shared in their beginnings by the longest-lived factories in the world that still maintain their original activity.
