The health center, equipped with the most modern technologies and circuits designed to achieve high levels of efficiency and performance, will be inaugurated in 2019 and promises to be a benchmark in the healthcare sector.
The new Toledo Hospital project was signed in April 2017 by árgola arquitectos and the joint venture formed by our clients Acciona, S.A., OHL, S.A. and Dragados, S.A., who have entrusted Impernor Asbitra y Asociados S.L. to execute the waterproofing and insulation phase of the complex.
The new hospital in the La Mancha city will be inaugurated in 2019. At present, the projected parking lots have been completed on its three below-ground levels and the façade enclosures of the hospitalization buildings have begun, among other works.
The plot on which the new Toledo Hospital is to be built is rectangular in shape and has a total surface area of 350,888 square meters. This colossal project has a budget of more than 204 million euros, to which must be added the fifty million euros that the regional government will allocate to equip the hospital with the most modern technologies and circuits designed to achieve high levels of efficiency and performance.
In addition, this new health center incorporates important improvements not contemplated in the previous Functional Plan, including an increase of more than 21% in the number of beds and a 50% increase in the number of operating rooms. When its construction is completed, the number of ICU Pediatric and Neonatal units will also be increased, from six to ten units and from eight to ten units, respectively.
