It's on everyone's lips: the construction of the Madring is the sports news of the moment in Spain. As sports lovers and believers in putting our country in the global spotlight, we are very proud to be part of this project.

The Madring circuit, located in the northeast area of Madrid, mostly on IFEMA-Valdebebas land, with part of the public road integrated into the layout, has been designed as a semi-permanent circuit: 4,100 meters will be inside IFEMA plots, and the remaining 1,300 meters on stretches of public streets remodeled for the occasion.

Key project data

. Circuit length : 5.400m

. Number of curves: 22 curves with demanding technical zones.

. Contractors: UTE formed by Acciona (60%) and Eiffage Construcción (40%).

. Budget awarded: 111 million euros.

. Return: it is estimated to generate around 450 million euros per year for Madrid's regional GDP and is expected to create 8,200 direct jobs.

. Construction period : work started in April 2025, with a target completion date of May 2026.

. Homologation: designed under FIA Grade 1 standards (the highest), which allows it to host Formula 1, Formula 2 and Formula 3 Grand Prix.

Sustainability and responsible construction

The project incorporates important sustainability measures:

. Use of HVO (renewable biofuel) for machinery, significantly reducing CO₂ emissions.

. Reuse of nearly 700,000 cubic meters of earth extracted from excavations, and a large part of the mobilized material will be recycled or reused.

. Design that minimizes the impact on IFEMA's operations and public circulation, maintaining the reversibility of the public space when the circuit is not in use.

. A photovoltaic plant, started in 2024, will feed the circuit.

We are sure that this circuit will not only represent sporting excitement, but also a decisive boost for Madrid as a city of innovation and first-class infrastructure.

Thanks to Acciona for making this possible for us.
