One of the divisions with the highest annual growth within Impais is the civil works division. An example is the recent port infrastructure in the renovation of the Club de Mar-Mallorca.

This Club de Mar has entered a process of complete transformation that will turn it into one of the largest and most modern marinas in the Mediterranean when its renovation is completed in 2024. We can confirm that this is the largest private work in a nautical facility in Spain, with more than 60 million euros of investment.

All the old buildings will disappear to make way for a club with completely remodeled facilities.

All the pontoons are also being renovated and refurbished, along with the expansion and construction of a new dock for large vessels, changes that will provide more than 70 moorings for boats between 50 and 170 meters in length.

In addition to the actions in the marina, a new construction will also be developed, where a single main building will be located together with an annex for vehicle parking. The building has been designed following the highest criteria and standards of sustainability, energy efficiency and natural resource savings.

One of the aspects to which the Club de Mar pays special attention is the introduction of materials and elements that enhance sustainability in the club' s facilities . As this is an essential factor, two types of basic actions are being carried out: firstly, so that the boats do not throw water a few miles from the coast, a gray water collection system will be developed to prevent this water from being thrown onto the coast. As a second step, a door-to-door selective collection system is planned, combining the days for each of the existing types of waste.

The urban development actions in the Club de Mar are intimately oriented to its integration with the city and, specifically, with the future Paseo Marítimo de Palma.

The Paseo Marítimo improvement project, with a cost of 45 million euros, involves the remodeling of the promenade. According to the approved project, the existing three and four lanes will be reduced to two lanes in each direction. In addition, improvements in the bicycle lanes, an increase in pedestrian areas with more green spaces and an increase in crosswalks to facilitate accessibility and pedestrian mobility are also contemplated.

Regarding the Club de Mar and its integration with the city, the fences that prevented access to the promenade will be removed, thus opening the club to the urban environment and citizens will be able to enjoy a club that will have bars, discos, restaurants, shops and other leisure facilities. In addition, it will be able to accommodate a greater number of athletes, both in sailing and canoeing, and double the number of registrations in the summer schools.

The refurbishment, which will generate around 500 new direct and indirect jobs, is the most important recreational port project in our country.

We continue to renovate cities.

Mercado de Olavide, the jewel that disappeared in Chamberí

In the 1970s, the Madrid City Council expropriated the stalls of the Trafalgar market and demolished the building to build a subway parking lot and a landscaped plaza. The demolition was controversial as the building had great architectural value and the traders did not receive any compensation. The history contrasts with the present day Plaza de Olavide.
