New Airbus Defence Space Madrid Campus

A large and complex project that combines design and functionality to generate a connected structure brimming with personality. This new headquarters has four buildings and two parking lots, one outdoor and one subway, and aspires to become an emblem of sustainable architecture, obtaining environmental credentials that endorse its excellence. Planned and designed by the prestigious Lámela studio, it exceeds 100,000 square meters and includes several buildings that, according to the studio's own description, "dialogue with each other".

The project was born with the intention of erecting a series of buildings with similar aesthetics and consistent with the concept of campus, where each one is independent and has its own processing. Thus, this complex is made up of several blocks. First, the identification building, strategically located at the access to the plot, which has the function of control and accreditation of all workers and visitors to the campus. On the other hand, the dining building, which also serves the North Factory, has been designed with functionality as a priority. The result? A succession of spacious, welcoming and comfortable spaces in which to eat. The campus also has two office buildings: the central office building and the information management building, where natural lighting takes center stage, resulting not only in a pleasant environment, but also in a more economical and efficient one. Finally, the campus has been provided with a surface parking lot that completes the Urbanization Works Project. The latter includes, organizes and reinforces the concept of a campus that is 100% customer-oriented and designed for the well-being of employees.
