Impernor Asbitra in the refurbishment of Ipurúa Stadium

The remodeling of the Ipurua stadium is being carried out in five phases. The first two have already been completed. Now, in the third phase, the actions being carried out are focused on the new West Stand and the remodeling of the South Stand. In them, we are developing:

● 8000 m² of two-layer asphalt waterproofing
● 2000 m² of waterproofing of walls.

The remodeling works in the West Stand of the stadium are progressing on schedule. Thus, the new stand will be available for the start of the 2019-2020 season, which will increase from 1,211 to 1,762 seats and will have a parking lot, gymnasium, nursery, new spaces for the broadcasting of matches and for the media, among other facilities.

Meanwhile, in the South stand, the relocation of all the media to a single space and an increase in the number of seats from 2,096 to 2,369 is being ensured. Next, the North and West stands will be joined by a grandstand, a new UCO building will be built, and the changing rooms, the dressing room tunnel and the presidential box will be enlarged.

Finally, this ambitious project also includes the construction of an official store, a Club museum and a customer service area for season ticket holders, shareholders and the general public on the first floor of the East Stand.

Ipurúa, a stadium that meets all UEFA requirements

Ever since SD Eibar reached the Primera Division, Ipurúa has not ceased to modernize. Season after season, the continuous refurbishments and extensions that have been carried out, (with an investment of 20 million euros), show today a new soccer field that meets the requirements of UEFA to host matches in European competitions.

This modernization process has been carried out in a modular fashion:

• 2014/2015 - Construction of the North Stand. The capacity of the stands was increased by 1,230 seats, the Training Classrooms and a VIP box with its ambiguous area were created.
• 2015/2017 - Reform of the East Grandstand. Construction of 4 vomitories to enter and exit, thus speeding up evacuation in case of emergency. Elimination of the pillars that made it difficult to see the grass during matches. Creation of an area for people with reduced mobility.
• 2018/2019 - Remodeling of the West Stand. From 1,211 to 1,720 seats.construction of the mezzanine in the South Stand with spaces for companies, preferential seating and a new area for media workers.
