The new Alisios Shopping Center, located in Tamaraceite Sur on the outskirts of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, is scheduled to open its doors to the public as of November 23, 2017.

Located in the northern part of the island of Gran Canaria, the new retail and leisure space will serve more than 600,000 potential customers in the towns of Tamaraceite, Arucas, Teror, Santa Brígida, Telde and Galdar.

Promoted by Grupo Hermanos Domínguez, the Alisios shopping center has a total surface area of 165,000 square meters and will have 120 stores, 70 more dedicated to restaurants and 2,500 parking spaces. On the other hand, the construction of the complex has involved an investment of more than 150 million euros.

The structure of the center is located on a plot of land larger than that of other island shopping centers such as Las Arenas. The new leisure space will also have a multiplex cinema and the first movie theater in the Canary Islands dedicated entirely to children.

The new shopping center in Gran Canaria will have an open space appearance very similar to the Las Terrazas Shopping Center in Telde. It will be structured in several buildings around open streets, squares with terraces and a space dedicated exclusively to leisure. The building has been designed by architect Mikel Barriola Azaldegui, from the well-known Chapman Taylor architectural firm , and is the only mall whose design is inspired by the island's orography: an area of dunes, volcanoes, sky and crops.

Since last 2014, in Tamaraceite Sur, different large multinationals have been established to provide services to the inhabitants of the region, including Leroy Merlin, Decathlon or Lidl, which also intends to settle within the new shopping center. The new shopping center is expected to employ more than 1,500 inhabitants of the area.

At Impernor and Asbitra Asociados, S.L. we are very satisfied with the work we have carried out in the insulation and waterproofing works and we would like to thank the confidence placed in us by the Grupo Empresarial San José, S.A. with whom we have already shared work in other national shopping centers.
